“SHHH.…!!! WE DON’T TALK ABOUT IT”
Oh! Yes we are talking about…..sex,condoms
,masturbation etc..
Well,This is a very common expression by most of the
Indians. When it comes to talk about condoms which are a taboo subjects in
India. The topic of sex or precautionary measures Such as condoms is generally
avoided in the public places or otherwise.
This raises a question that ….WHY IN INDIA SEX AND CONDOMS ARE
CONSIDERED AS A TABOO?
Indians are morally snobbish and utter hypocrites. They
consider Sex to be a very base act which is in eyes of religion a sin and this
makes them apprehensive of anything remotely related to Sex.Which is why there
is much felt dearth of Sex related knowledge in India.
This happens because of various reasons. As far as
the parents are not educating their children when it comes to this things in an
extension of their fear that talking about such a profane and licentious matter
will corrupt cause them to have a desire of having Sex.
I am sure you must have noticed that whenever Condoms, Sanitary napkins or any such embarrassing advertisement comes often
you find a silence for a second in the
room or you or your parents leave the room…….this step of not giving your child
proper sex education however backfire. Since children are attracted by the lust
for the forbidden and think that sex must be terribly exciting. They therefore
in frenzied fascination take steps which they later regret Sexism,Homophobia, SexuallyTransmitted Diseases are due to lack of knowledge about Sex.
Parents should sit and talk about it to their
children's openly and by provide proper Sex education to them.
The only way to cure this problem by enforcing Sex
education and inculcating healthy and open views towards Sex and nowadays
celebrities have also started endorsing Condom ads and spreading awareness
like:- sunny leoney endorsing man force and ranbir singh durex.

A condom is nothing but a tube made of thin flexible
material. It is closed at one end.
Condoms have been used for hundreds of years to prevent pregnancy by keeping a
man’s semen out of a women’s vagina.most condoms today are latex or polyurethane.Condoms also helps in preventing diseases that are spread by semen or by
contact with infected sores in the genital area, including HIV.A new type of
condom was designed to fit into a woman’s vagina. This ‘female’ condom can also
be used to protect the rectum.
These advertisement are useful because any
advertisement so long as it does not taboo sex or portray it in very lusty
shades is bound to spread awareness.
