So this is a DVD player ad. The audience enjoys
watching this ad no matter how many times they  see it.In this ad they are trying to showcase the ''volume quality''of the DVD player ,which says  ''SABKA VOLUME UCHA KARDE''. So, as you can see in the video how creatively and humorously they have woven the ad.
The best part of the ad is the very last part ,the
 ''I love you" segment!
Oh my god! I was seriously laughing like an insane after seeing the last part of the ad.
So,we hope that you all too enjoy the ad like we do.If I had to rate this ad I would give it a 4 on the scale of 5.

"JAAGO RE!"

SOURCE: http://i.imgur.com/JT9vp5e.jpg

In India, Tata tea is one of the strongest packaged tea brand in the country. Tata tea began its journey well more than 25 years ago, when the packaged tea market was dominated by one large player with over 70% market share. As other brands almost found it impossible to enter in this market, Tata tea saw and took the opportunity and even succeeded.
However, Tata tea’s initial advertising campaigns primarily covered the physical and functional aspects of the brand such as freshness, packaging, taste etc.

SOURCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXWdhB1xYic

Now, for around 7-8 years, after it attained market leadership, Tata tea raised its communication efforts to self-actualisation level and positioned itself for social awakening. Indians have been awakened by a hard-hitting media campaign that says “har subah sirf utho mat, jaago re!”.  the landmark ‘Tata tea Jaago re campaign has transformed the way beverages are marketed in india by repositioning tea from a wake up drink to a medium of social awakening.
Tata tea's "jaago re!" campaign ads few of the most crucial social issues we face nowadays such as corruption, unqualified leaders and the common man's ignorance of his 'right to vote'.

SOURCE:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gfswxe5EOm4

In this advertisement towards your left, a man is returning home on a motorbike with his two other friends. on entering, his wife asks if he was done with the day's quota of wandering around but instead his husband informs her in a triumphant tone that he did a big duty-  the duty of 'voting'. The wife then offers him tea made of only big leaves in return. On being questioned, she explains how he forgot the smaller duty in the whole scenario- the duty of following traffic rules.
It simply concludes  that completion requires both big and small elements, be it either tea or one's duty.

The 'jaago re!' campaign also launched the "Power of 49" which is directly linked to the women voters-to-be who form 49% of india's electoral rolls. For putting women first  and encouraging them even the BAADSHAH of bollywood or should I say Mr. Shah Rukh Khan took an initiative.

SOURCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LRvCZ7Sp3M

This advertisement begins with a female journalist interviewing Shahrukh Khan. She starts off saying that its women’s day all women love you. So Shahrukh says that he loves all women in return in his characteristic style. The journalist further asks him for his views on women’s equality and women’s rights. Khan says that women should not only be equal to men but ahead of them either it be education, medicine, politics or anything. The journalist asks then then why not in films? Why does the hero’s name appears ahead of the heroine’s name in the titles? After asking this the journalist asks the cameraman to cut and in the meanwhile khan takes a few sips of his ‘Tata tea’ and starts to think about the question. After that he asks the cameraman to start rolling and makes a promise that in future, in his each and every film the heroine’s name would appear before the hero’s. the voice over says ‘ Bade badlav ke liye hare ek ko chhoti shuruaath karni padegi. TATA TEA.
This ad did make a small change as if we can recall that deepika padukone’s name appeared before shahrukh khan in Chennai express. Toh ho gayi na badlav shuru?

When this issue was raised, it automatically became a pretty powerful campaign. When one considers that how the past few years  have put a spotlight on India's poor record when it comes to protecting and empowering women. The latest 'jaago re!' campaign relaunched the "Power of 49" through this ad.

SOURCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg2ZRosgD8g
The above ad, directed by Gauri Shinde, portrays a few women in the salon. It shows how they carry pepper spray in order to protect themselves. A girl working in the salon tells them that they should put a kaala teeka (black dot) instead. The ladies assume that the girl is referring to the superstition of putting a black dot to ward off the evil eye. However, the girl further clarified that she actually referred to the black dot on the index finger as a symbol of 'voting'. She further conveys that if they vote for the right people, they will ensure better safety.
This ad mainly aims to awaken the 'educated or so-called well informed class of the country' who don't believe that voting can make a difference. This also tries to open minds of the people and symbolises that the women of India will have to bring the change they want by casting their vote.

!!CHIPKALE FEVICOL SE!!

"ZOR LAGA K HAIYSHA", "JOINT FAMILY","PAKDE  REHNA CHORNA NAHI",
"MOCHWALI" AND "FEVICOL KA JOD HAI TOOTEGA  NAHI".

Yes ,yes ,you got me right we are talking about one of the largest selling adhesive brand in Asia.
FEVICOL is a brand of adhesive owned by the Indian Company Pidilite. Fevicol is not an ordinary
brand of adhesives, I think Fevicol has great popularity not only in the world of adhesives but
also in our BOLYWOOD ,"fevicol" is commonly used as a metaphor for strong bonding or
stubborn stickiness, with great instance a Bollywood movies , topical jokes and mundane conversation. "FEVICOL SE" the very famous song from the film Dabangg 2 .

                               source:http://photos.filmibeat.com/ph- big/2012/11/dabangg-2-fevicol-se-item-song-      still_13541821363.jpg

Fevicol has some of the most catchy and humorous advertisements and phrases like "DAM LAGA  KE HAISHA" even a movie has taken up this catchy title for their film, the title suits it the most  because the genre of the film is "comedy".
 source:http://photos.filmibeat.com/ph-big/2012/11/dabangg-2-fevicol-se-item-song-still_13541821363.jpg

"FEVICOL KA MAZBOOT JOD HAI TOOTEGA NAHI" see i mean really these tag lines are so
so catchy and we do use them in our everyday conversations and the best tagline is which says "FEVICOL AISA JOD LAGAYE YUMRAJ BHI TOD NA PAYE"

So,as our theme is funny ads ,we have chosen fevicol ads because we really think that fevicol ads  are hilarious and catchy .While going through the ads of fevicol I particularly noticed that the  fevicol ads theme and idea have been brilliantly blended in all the ads and have been woven in a funny yet an effective  way of presenting the ad.The idea of all the fevicol adverts is very simple and straightforward.

One of the audience favourite ad out of all the fevicol ads is the "FEVICOL EGG AD'  in which a person tries to break an egg but he is not able to break it because.......you have to watch the ad to know the punch part.

source:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC5EhJl1wFE

There are so many ads that  audience really enjoys ,I wish I could write about all of them . Another funny fevicol ad is the "MOCHWALI AD" Oh My God!! seriously I was laughing through out the video of the ad because it has been shown with such creativity and humour.

source:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fl553xZ-mc

Be it the "PAKDE REHNA " ad which has carpenters working in their shop while a movie is
playing on the the T.V  showing a couple hanging perilously from a rope, with a can of fevicol kept on the top of the T.V , an amused carpenter looks at the can and then at the couple , while the heroine keeps yelling "PAKDE REHNA , CHORNA NAHI" as the carpenter picks up the can , the couple falls down!

The best part about fevicol ads are that they are not monotonous like other ads they always come up with something unique and funny. The strategy behind always making fevicol ads funny is that to make it standout from the other predictive ads and to leave a lasting effect.

"FEVICOL AISA JOD LAGAYE ACHE SE ACHA NA TOD PAYE " ,its an old ad but we still remember seeing this ad , the god of death (yamraj) is trying to pull out life from a person who ordained time has come, but is unable to do so ,because the body is lying next ta a tin of fevicol !!Isn't it funny!!
Another high lighting point of fevicol ads is that it has underlined the time and again theaxiom in advertising , which says that the core theme and idea should remain intact as the adverts grow with time.

source:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0janN20ATI

So, here I would sign out from the fevicol world of funny ads....AAAHH!!!..the fevicol is not letting me go..the word fevicol itself is so binding:P!! AHAHAHAHA!...JUST KIDDING:)

KHUSHION KA SHUBH AARAMBH

In India, chocolate means Cadbury chocolates. Cadbury has 70% of India’s market share when it comes to sweet and confectionery and therefore in some ways monopolised the Indian market. Its great success is not only because of its premium quality products and wide range but also due to its memorable advertisement campaigns. Its advertisement has managed to strike a chord with its audience, well, most of the time. Through this little piece, we salute the long lineage of Cadbury’s fantastic advertisement by the agency Ogilvy & Mather and study what makes them click.

One of its most iconic ads or rather one of the most iconic Indian ads of all times is also one of its first. It came out in the early 90s-1993 to be exact and is still etched in people’s mind.
Yes, you got me right! I am talking about the Cadbury girl dancing on the cricket field after her lover completes his century. I would ask you all to watch this ad (provided to your left) and I am sure it’ll bring a smile to your face and will give you “The Real Taste of Life”.

This ad has an evergreen appeal to it and combines all elements that we Indians get high on: cricket, young love, good-looking people and melodious music and of course dodging the police. In the ad, we rejoice the fact that the batsman completed his century, watch in complete awe as the girl dances rather unabashedly on the cricket field celebrating her boyfriend’s century and we believe in the motto that there’s something special in all of us.An interesting aspect of this ad is that it weaves the product into the storyline and doesn’t brazenly shove the product in the audience’s face and promotes it subtly by showing positive emotions and feelings integrated in and around it.

In the year 2003, Cadbury found itself in the eye of the storm when few instances of worms in Dairy Milk Bars were reported in Madhya Pradesh and served as major damage to Cadbury’s otherwise pristine image and premium quality.
Cadbury roped in superstar Amitabh Bachchan to ensure people of its quality and he did just that! Amitabh Bachchan put his personal equity in line for the product and delivered a powerful message and assured the citizens of India in a minute-long advertisement of Cadbury's quality standards and safety. This worked laurels for Cadbury and it soon got its market standing back all thanks to strong and bankable Amitabh Bachchan
who inspired trust for Cadbury in the hearts of people again.
You can watch his testimonial for Cadbury                         SOURCE: Kalp Desai's Youtube Channel
in the video provided to your right.

This lead to a long-standing relation between Amitabh Bachchan and Cadbury with loads of successful campaigns like “Pappu pass ho gaya” ,”Shubh Aarambh” and Kuch meetha ho jaye” .All these campaigns were focussed on replacing Cadbury Dairy Milk in place of Traditional Indian sweets and their importance in Indian households especially when celebrating a happy event. Slowly and slowly, the transition took place from Traditional Indian Sweets to Cadbury products being exchanged on festivals especially Diwali.

Cadbury has continued its legacy of great advertisement with the “Shubh Aarambh” ads especially the boy and girl in the bus stand, Bourneville’s Not-so-sweet ads, Cadbury Glow advertisement featuring Aditi Rao Hydari and Rajkumar Rao.

The latest ad called “Snow fight” (provided to your left) featuring Nimrat Kaur portrays the playful relationship between a couple and asks us to listen to our heart and to cherish and be grateful for our loved ones and to enjoy small moments and to let Cadbury be part of that happiness and thereby increase it.With picturesque snow clad mountains, Nimrat Kaur and evocative music and emotions-it makes for a stunning ad.

Cadbury has a long lineage of great advertisements with careful consideration of Indian ideology, clever screenplay and bankable brand ambassadors which stirs the emotions and imagination of its audiences and will hopefully continue to do so in the future as well!

“Amul: The Taste of India” – 78 Years & counting ………..

AMUL, the acronym for Anand Milk Federation Union Limited, the Indian dairy cooperative, based at Anand in the state of Gujarat, means valuable in Sanskrit. In many ways Amul, represents the transformation of India from pre-independence days to the modern vibrant nation making its mark on the world as a global leader.

Formed in 1946 (pre-independence India), to counter the exploitation of marginal milk producers by the representative of The Polson Dairy, it is a brand managed by the masses for the masses (a cooperative body, jointly owned by 3 million milk producers in Gujarat). Starting modestly with the sale of milk to the the Bombay Milk Scheme, in1946, it now boasts of  a product range that includes milk powders, milk, butter, ghee, cheese, Masti Dahi, Yoghurt, Buttermilk, chocolate, ice cream, cream, shrikhand, paneer, gulab jamuns, flavoured milk, basundi, Amul Pro brand and others. Just like the transformation of India, it has also grown from a local brand to a global brand with presence in more than 40 countries. The major markets are USA, West Indies, and countries in Africa, the Gulf Region, the SAARC neighbours besides Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Australia.

In the 70’s Amul spurred India's White Revolution, which made the country one of the world's largest producer of milk and milk products. Just like India’s Federal structure (Centre, States & the PRI institutions), The AMUL is also a three-tier cooperative structure consisting of a dairy cooperative society at the village level affiliated to a milk union at the district level which in turn is federated into a milk federation at the state level. To cater for the growth & needs of modern India, Amul has also been launching beverages in a wide variety viz Amul PRO, sports drink -Stamina, Kool Koko, Kool Café - ready to drink coffee etc. As a recognition of ther modern lifestyle, it even launched ATM (Any Time Milk) machines which dispenses a 300-ml pouch of fresh milk for Rs 10/-.

The Amul ‘ad-campaign’ – The Taste of India has been a unique campaign which has been based on themes of contemporary events with very strong mass connect. Mr Verghese Kurien, the chairman created a free atmosphere that fostered the development of the ads. The campaign started in 1966 when Amul hired Sylvester da Cunha, then managing director of the advertising agency AS to design an ad campaign for Amul Butter. He designed a campaign as series of hoardings with topical ads, relating to day-to-day issues. Some of the controversial Amul ads include one commenting on the Naxalite uprising in West Bengal, on the Indian Airlines employees strike, and one depicting the Amul butter girl wearing a Gandhi cap. Despite encountering political pressure on several occasions, daCunha's agency did not back down. The ad- campaign was immensely popular and earned a Guinness world record for the longest running ad campaign in the world.

In the 1980s, cartoon artist Kumar Morey and script writer Bharat Dabholkar were brought in for sketching the Amul ads. Mr Dabholkar, rejected the trend of using celebrities in advertisement campaigns and continued with the theme of contemporary issues. The ideas are generated through a slew of incentives to the agents as well as the employees who can participate in special programs for the same. Their ideas are rewarded and compiled as “amul hits of the year ----“

With the advent of Television, the campaign also entered the TV advertisement era and has been a trendsetter of sorts in the milk products.  They also use the modern means viz ‘twitter’ to communicate their support for or against the issues and act as opinion makers.
